Myers’ background
Our Mississauga naturopathic clinic has been safely and effectively administering intravenous multivitamin injections, commonly called Myers’ cocktails, for over 11 years.
The Myers’ multivitamin injection consists of B vitamins including B3, B5, B6, B12, vitamin C, calcium, magnesium, and other nutrients. These vitamins are mixed in a small sterile intravenous saline bag and injected into the vein over 20 to 60 minutes. Usually there are no side effects to the treatments.
By administering the nutrients directly into the vein, the treatment overcomes the difficulty in absorption and reduced effectiveness experienced when the body has to digest and absorb the nutrients through food. Of course, nutrients should be primarily consumed and utilized through food. But in patients who’s digestion and absorption are compromised (many digestive diseases, stress), in situations where the body needs extra nutrients fast (immune support for flu or cancer), and in cases where the nutrients simply are not absorbed (glutathione for example), the use of the intravenous vitamin injections can be very beneficial.
The Myers’ multivitamin injection is helpful for many ailments, including:

Formulated for patients individual needs
At our naturopathic clinic we can administer the standard multivitamin injection useful for many treatments. But depending on the patients needs, we provide specific individualized injections. For example:
Cold/Flu immune booster – the standard vitamin mix with extra vitamin C, Zinc, Magnesium and B vitamins, it strengthens the immune system and helps get a good nights sleep.
Liver support – extra vitamin C and B vitamins to increase glutathione production and provide a boost to the liver, along with a direct glutathione injection. This formula is for those with slow liver detoxification, as an extra boost during detoxification, and is an excellent support for liver cirrhosis which has consistently helped to reduce elevated liver damage enzymes (AST, ALT, etc).
Alkalinizing formula – standard vitamin mix with sodium bicarbonate, magnesium, calcium and other minerals to help reduce the internal body acidity.
Heart support formula – vitamin mix with higher doses of carnitine, taurine, magnesium, and vitamins B5, B6, B12 , folic acid and vitamin C formulated to strengthen the heart while reducing homocysteine
Cancer fighting and support – modified to include high doses of vitamin C for its effect killing cancer cells (apoptosis), this formula can be used before, between, and after chemotherapy treatments.
Post surgery healing formula – the vitamin mix with increased vitamin C, zinc, selenium and other nutrients supports the post surgical healing of the tissues, helps the liver recover its detoxification capacity after sedation, and improves the immune system to minimize chances of infection and speed recovery.
